Terms & Conditions

DANCE FEES

We offer all new students a free trial class

Thereafter the fee is due in advance for the remaining half term.

Fees are due half termly a week in advance of the new half term starting. Half term period is between 5 – 7 weeks depending on Oxfordshire county council school dates.

GIVING NOTICE

Due to the popularity of our classes we require a full half terms notice to leave classes. Example - To leave for the start of term 2, notice would need to have been given at the start of term 1. It is the parent’s responsibility for the Principle to acknowledge notice has been given via email, failure to give notice will incur fee remaining due.

LATE PAYMENT

There are no charges if a parent makes contact to confirm date the dance fee will be paid. No contact and time spent in chasing fees will incur a 10% surcharge.

UNIFORM

After the first half term, we expect all students to wear the correct attire to dance class.

CLASS RULES

To work as part of a team

To wear the correct attire relevant to the class discipline

Hair to be off the face, combined Ballet, Tap & Jazz classes hair to be worn in a bun.

To show respect to the class teachers and support helpers

Arrive at least 5 minutes before start of class

Bring a drink (No fizzy drinks & no food must be brought into studio)

No use of mobile phones

Please do not wear Ballet, Tap or Jazz shoes outside of the studio. This can harm the quality of the sole for the work in class.

Parents are not permitted to stay and watch classes other than the dedicated times when parents are invited in.

We appreciate the younger child may need a parent to help settle in. Parents are expected to stay for our baby classes

Classes Grade 3 and above students must participate in one weekly Zoom session working on Strength, Flexibility and Ballet Conditioning.

CANCELLATION OF CLASSES

Should Dancemania Dance Company need to cancel a class prior notice will be given and a replacement lesson will be rescheduled, if this is not possible a full refund will be given. However, classes cancelled due to conditions beyond our control for example severe weather conditions, Floods, Covid-19 classes will revert to zoom at normal class price for that period.

CHILD PROTECTION

All Dancemania Dance Company teachers are professional teachers, hold up to date Liability insurance, first aid training certificates, and most have taken the safe guarding children courses.

Dancemania Dance Company follow strict rules and regulations concerning the welfare of students. No child under the age of 18yrs will be allowed to leave the premises unattended by an adult unless we receive written confirmation from parent/guardian.

Toilet runs – Teachers will wait outside the area to ensure the student arrives safely back to class. Our Baby classes parents are expected to supervise their own child.

Due to the physical nature of dance, it is sometimes necessary to make physical contact with the student to correct and encourage alignments and to help develop good technique and prevent injury. A student has every right to communicate with their class teacher if this is unacceptable for them.

It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure we have the correct contact details in case of an emergency.

A health registration form must be completed on joining Dancemania Dance Company.

Students will be filmed and photographed during classes. Shows, competitions etc. These may then be used to help promote the school, via the website or social media. Filming can also help the class teacher to study students to further help with corrections of work. A permission form from parents/Guardians will be required through completion of the registration form. Names are never used on social media, unless we have made contact and asked permission.

Liability Waiver

Parents will be required to submit the liability waiver on the registration form.

Within the nature of dance, there are risks of accidents incurring, (potential slips, and falls, sprains, strains, dislocations, soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal injuries along with others) whilst we take every measure to ensure the studio is a safe place and the students have clear instructions of what is expected within class, sometimes the unfortunate accident can happen.

By signing the registration form permission is given to all Dancemania Dance company’s teachers to act on the best interest of the student in the invent of an injury, by providing first aid care, ambulance service, emergency dentist and medical care.

By submitting the liability waiver on the registration form no Dancemania Dance Company teacher will be liable for any Cost incurred, and are released and discharged from any claim which may arise on any of the above as result of accident or injury.

Online Pre- REcorded Tutorial Disclaimer

Dancemania Dance Company would confirm that all adults and students participating in our home online tutorials need to be feeling well and in good physical condition.

All students under 18yrs old will need adult supervision whilst engaging with the online tutorial.

The adult/parent/guardian agrees participation of the online tutorials at their own risk and are voluntarily participating in these activities and will assume all risk of injury to yourself or the student and agrees to release and discharge Dancemania Dance Company from any and all claims known or unknown arising out of Dancemania Dance Company on-line pre-recorded tutorials.
